Was The “dream Act” A Plan To Allow All The Illegals To Get Visas And Work Here?

If so that makes sense as then they could save money in the banks and pay taxes. Sorta like the Iraqs that worked in Kuwait, what a million and they wnet there each day and worked and then left. kosovo was a little different as they ended up having an 67% increase in illegals migranting there.
But would n’t a guest worker program that is enforced work for all and then there wouldn’t be all this stuff about becoming an American and messing up the deal for all the people who are in line the legal way.
Don’t they just come here to work, that’s what is always said so there shouldn’t even be debate about becoming a citizen.

It was a plan to grant amnesty to the children of illegals. This would in turn cause a chain reaction allowing the illegal parents to be petitioned by the children once they gain citizenship. It was defeated and rightly so.

The dream act required people to come forward voluntarily, pay a fine, and then get a Z visa. Some illegals would not come forward, and even those who would have worried that having a separately coded visa would label them and lead to discrimination. Many of them didn’t like the idea of a special visa, either.
Obviously, most citizens didn’t like the plan at all, and regardless of which side of the debate a person is on, there were flaws and drawbacks. It was 700+ pages of nonsense.

The Dream Act was to legalize the children of illegals so they could pay less to go to college than a citizens child. You are talking about the Amnesty Bill. Both were defeated in Congress and rightly so. No not all just come here to work. The country needs to enforce the law and know just who is in the country.

The Dream Act was a scheme that would have offered a free education to the children of illegal aliens. It was much more than citizens got from the Federal Government, silly, and incredibly expensive.

The dream act would have given amnesty to the illegals.
No, they do not come here just to work. They come here to pop out their anchor babies, and then they sigh up on welfare that they aren’t entitled to.
There are approximately 12 murders a day committed by illegal aliens. That’s 12 serious crimes a day that could be avoided. However when you grant amnesty to these thugs, you’re just saying “oh, it’s ok”.
